Matt performs training for directors, officers, and attorneys in all of these areas. He has trained hundreds of Alaska Native Corporate directors on their duties and responsibilities, including special topics like maintaining confidentiality of company information despite the uniquely Alaskan tensions between service on the tribal council and the village corporation board.
In addition, Matt has represented clients in all phases of litigation, including complex commercial litigation. He is experienced at designing civil litigation strategy, ediscovery, motion practice, trial and appeals. Moreover, he is experienced in mediation and arbitration, including novel alternative dispute resolution (like value mediation). Matt's work in litigation over the years has saved clients millions of dollars in successful defenses, and led to beneficial settlements for his clients.
